Navajo Chief’s Pattern Blanket with Indigo Dye: C. 1870s: 74″ X 58″: BEW 77

Description

Navajo Chief’s Pattern Blanket with unraveled Bayetta Aniline dye, known to some as flannel as well as deep indigo dye. The Indigo is gorgeous, but it doesn’t show up well in the photos. Technically this is a Third Phase blanket, but because the diamonds connect, some would call it a Fourth Phase.
