Navajo Women’s Chief’s pattern blanket Circa 1880 to 1900 with all Germantown Wool. Framed top and bottom with a thick band of dark blue. All of the yarns are from Germantown, Pennsylvania. This piece is in good condition, however does show some wear from the last 130 years, including fade to the dark blue/purple thick band. This fading is more substantial on one side of the weaving than the other. Also, this rug has been cleaned but there is still a small stain (see pictures). It is more visible on one side than the other.
